The Diocese of Achonry has confirmed the rescheduled ordination of the new Bishop for the region will take place in August.
Fr Paul Dempsey was due to be ordained in on April 19th but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was postponed.
This afternoon, the Diocese has confirmed that the rescheduled date for the Episcopal Ordination is Sunday August 30th at 3.00pm in the Cathedral of The Annunciation and St Nathy, Ballaghaderreen.

Planning for the ordination will be in accordance with Government and NEPHET guidelines and as a result the number able to attend will be more limited than was originally planned for April 19th.
