US singer Meat Loaf, whose hits included Bat Out of Hell, has died aged 74 according to a statement on his official Facebook page.
The star , who's given name was Marvin Lee Aday , is reported to have died at his home with his family at his bedside.
He was 74 years of age.
His career spanned six decades and saw him sell over 100 million albums worldwide, as well as acting in 65 movies.
"Bat Out of Hell" remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time.
Meat Loaf toured Ireland and played in many venues across the Shannonside region.
