A decision is due next week on whether to give the go ahead for a significant development at a South Roscommon GAA club.
St. Dominic's GAA in Knockcroghery are seeking to construct a new pitch, athletics track, spectator stand, and biodiversity and sensory garden.
The club applied for planning permission in September and a decision is due on the 22nd of this month.
The development will include a new training pitch, floodlighting, digital scoreboard, tiered spectators stand, and a new training area.
The site at Gailey just outside the village would also see the addition of an athletics track complete with long jump and high jump areas and all associated lighting.
As part of the plans, a new biodiversity and sensory garden would also be developed and a new pedestrian walkway installed.
The application also includes all associated site works, an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing and extra car parking.
County planners are expected to make their decision late next week.
