A decision is likely to be made later today about whether or not to re-open Upper Main Street in Mohill.
The street has been closed off to traffic since yesterday afternoon after masonry fell from a former public house onto the footpath.
A meeting took place on the site earlier today between council officials, structural engineers and the owner of the property in order to assess the situation.
A plan for safety and remedial work is then likely to be devised.
Local councillor Thomas Mulligan says there's a lot of concern on all sides about the situation, and he's hoping the issue can be resolved as soon as possible:
