The delay in publishing the report into the treatment and death of Bryonny Sainsbury is a stain on the country according to a local TD.
Longford/Westmeath Fianna Fail TD Joe Flaherty along with Bryonny's parents met the Tanáiste yesterday to highlight the hurt being caused to the family by the delay.
Bryonny passed away in August 2021, days after she was injured by her horse in Longford. Significant failures were identified in her treatment at Mullingar Regional Hospital, with an inquest finding her death a result of medical misadventure. Micheál Martin yesterday confirmed he would pressure the HSE to release the draft report compiled by the Ireland East Hospital Group.
