A local TD says the construction of a Primary Care Centre in Ballaghaderreen may begin before the end of the year. The HSE has confirmed to Roscommon-Galway TD Claire Kerrane that should the developer accept the terms of the letter of acceptance by the end of June, they will be required to commence construction before the end of this year.
However, HSE also confirmed that if the developer fails to accept the terms, it will be withdrawn and they will proceed with alternative options including re-tendering. The primary care centre was first proposed in 2012 with planning permission being granted in 2021. Deputy Kerrane remained hopeful following the latest update:
