Gardaí not treating discovery of body in Athlone as suspicious

Gardaí in Athlone are not treating the discovery of a body in Athlone as suspicious. The body of a man in his 20s was discovered yesterday afternoon in the St Mary's Square area of the town.

The body of the man was removed to a local hospital where a post mortem examination will take place. Gardaí have confirmed that there will be no criminal investigation into this incident.
