Disqualified Longford motorist arrested for drug driving

Longford Roads Policing Unit is warning of the dangers of drug driving following an arrest this week. Local Gardaí stopped the driver of a vehicle over the weekend and conducted a roadside drugs test. They subsequently tested positive for cocaine and cannabis.

Following investigations, the motorist was also found to be disqualified from driving. They were arrested at the scene and the vehicle was seized. The driver will now face a court appearance.
