The first of a two part documentary on the death of Roscommon priest Fr Niall Molloy airs tonight.
Father Niall Molloy, who was based in Castlecoote, was found dead in a bedroom of Kilcoursey House in Clara, Offaly in July 1985.
He was attending the second day of a wedding of the daughter his friends Richard and Teresa Flynn.
Richard Flynn told gardai that he had killed Father Molloy.
He was acquitted of manslaughter and assault all charges after Judge Frank Roe directed the jury to find him not guilty.
The Molloy family has tried for decades to have investigation re-opened.
It's hoped that the programmes could help progress on the case.
The two part documentary, which will feature many people from the local area in Roscommon.
It will be broadcast tonight and also next Monday at 9.35 p.m. on RTÉ One.
