They claim it's putting increased pressure on volunteers when it comes to keeping local towns and villages clean.

Jonathan Cassidy was responding to a recent letter to the Joe Finnegan Show, which highlighted the issue of dog fouling public places such as cemeteries.

He said owners must take the lead when it comes to cleaning up after their pets:
