A local senator has confirmed her intention to contest the Fine Gael General Election in Roscommon/Galway.
Senator Aisling Dolan says she will seek a nomination to go forward to contest the convention in the constituency.
She ran for the party in the last General Election however failed to win a seat.

It's believed South-Roscommon based Cllr John Naughten is considering putting his name forward also to contest the convention.
His brother Denis who is an Independent TD has already confirmed he is not seeking re-election.
