A motorist is facing court after Roscommon Gardaí stopped them for a number of driving offences. Gardaí on patrol in the county received an automatic number plate recognition alert on a vehicle they encountered. Roscommon Gardaí stopped the vehicle after the ANPR alert informed them the car was uninsured.
On examination, the vehicle was shown not to be taxed or to have a NCT. The motorist was also penalised for having an unfastened 2-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The car was seized and the driver will now face a court summons.
