Driving test pass rates in the Shannonside region last year were above the national average.
According to the latest figures from the Road Safety Authority, Carrick-On-Shannon had the highest pass rate in the region in 2022.
The latest release from the RSA shows the percentage of people who passed their driving test at each centre last year. In the Shannonside region, Carrick-On-Shannon had the highest pass rate at 60.8%. 56.1% of people passed their test in Longford while 55.9% passed in Athlone. The Roscommon centre had the lowest pass rate in the region last year at 54.4%.
The average pass rate across the region in 2022 was 56.8%, above the national average of 53.2%.
The centre with the lowest pass rate in the country was in Mulhuddart in Co.Dublin, with just a 38.2% pass rate
