Innocent young people in the Shannonside region are dying because of the country's drugs problem, according to a local TD.
Independent Ireland's Michael Fitzmaurice says we can no longer turn a blind eye to the impact drugs are having on young people's lives.
He raised the issue last night at a public meeting in Glinsk, County Galway.
Fitzmaurice says a lot of young people are living in fear and are suffering from mental distress due to drug debts owed.
