Up to 50 jobs are thought to be affected by a major fire at a Longford transport company over the weekend.
The incident at Pat Corrigan Transport on the Drumlish Road saw 7 units of the Longford and Granard Fire Brigade tackling a blaze on Saturday afternoon.
No one was injured in the incident but the building has been heavily damaged by the fire.
The well known transport company worked across the region and was involved in many charity initiatives and sports sponsorships.
According to local councillor Paraic Brady, the fire is a major blow to the area.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, councillor Brady says it'll be hard to rebuild the company, but the local community will stand behind the Corrigan family.
