A Leitrim café has become the latest casualty of the Covid-19 lockdown.
The owners of the Sweet Geranium Café in Drumshanbo have announced on a Facebook post that they have taken the decision not to reopen after six years of operations.
The post thanks all the customers and people of Drumshanbo for their support over the years and says they hope to see another business thrive in the building that's been home to the café since 2014.
The news comes just days after a restaurant in Ballymahon in Longford also announced that it wouldn't be reopening.
The Nine Arches in Ballymahon only opened three years ago but its owners said the three and half month closure, and the new social distancing measures, meant it wasn't financially feasible to reopen in the current circumstances.
The south Longford restaurant said it is committed to honouring all outstanding gift vouchers and will be staging "pop-up" events to allow customers use them.
