A Leitrim principal says news of a major school extension is like an early Christmas present for staff and students.
The Department of Education has allocated funding to Drumshanbo Vocational school and plans include 5 mainstream classrooms, 2 SET rooms, 2 class based SEN units, a multimedia room and textiles room.
Martin Fallon says school numbers are constantly growing, with more than 350 students now attending.
It's hoped the tendering process can get underway as soon as plans are completed in early 2022.
Speaking to Let's Talk Principal Martin Fallon thanked all those who assisted in securing this funding.
