Duffy set to be officially ratified as Roscommon Councillor today

Valerie Duffy will officially become John Naughten's replacement on Roscommon County Council later today. The Moore woman beat Ger Grehan in a Fine Gael selection convention last Thursday and will be formally ratified at a council meeting this afternoon.

John Naughten died last October after over 20 years as a south Roscommon councillor. Independent councillor Tom Crosby is a member of the alliance that controls the council - he believes Valerie Duffy will be ratified today:
