Dympna Daly Finn (FG) has been eliminated from the Boyle LEA following this evening’s full recount at the Hyde Centre.
The Arigna woman was overtaken by party colleague, outgoing councillor Liam Callaghan, after Sunday's eighth count.
Independent councillor Valerie Byrne had topped the poll in the Boyle area before winning re-election on the third count.
Sinn Féin’s first time candidate Leah Cull took the second seat. Whereas, Independent Micheál Frain took the third ahead of the recount last night.
Fianna Fáil's Sean Moylan is now expected to take the fourth seat. Whereas, outgoing councillor Tom Crosby remains on course for the fifth.
The sixth and final seat is now between Callaghan and Independent Ireland candidate and Boyle man Paul Forde. Follow our updates from the Roscommon count centre.
