Just over €100,000 has been allocated for general maintenance and upkeep works at over a dozen local forests and public amenities run by Coillte.
A total of €45,000 is being provided to various forests in Leitrim.
The largest single allocation of money, €10,000, is being diverted to Glenfarne in north Leitrim, for general maintenance and a project with a local community group.
€6000 is also being provided for general upkeep of Derrycarne near Carrick on Shannon.
A total of €8,000 is being provided for three amenities in Longford – Derrycassin, Newcastle Woods and Gowna.
€47,500 is being provided for a total of nine forests in Roscommon – including €16,000 for Lough Key near Boyle that includes monies to repair two bridges at the park.
Mote Park is to also receive €7,000 for general upkeep works.
