Over €300,000 has been awarded to the Shannonside region to support Town Centre First projects. This funding assists local authorities in creating a pipeline of significant, well-developed projects in local towns across the country. The funding supports pre-development works for projects and support costs including detailed design, planning, procurement and other development costs.
Across the Shannonside Region, Roscommon received the highest amount at €150,000 for projects in Castlerea, Roscommon and Strokestown. Leitrim received just under €150,000 for Carrick on Shannon, Leitrim Village and Dromahair. Longford received just €50,000 in Funding for Longford Town.
