Over half a million in funding has been announced for community centres across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
The funding, from the Department of Rural and Community Development, will go towards the maintenance and upkeep of community centres and buildings.
Almost €547,000 has been allocated to the five local counties.
Cavan sees the most at just over €120,000, followed by Roscommon which receives €113,000.
Both Monaghan and Longford are receiving €109,000 each.
Leitrim receives the smallest amount in the region and the country at almost €94,500.
Funding will be allocated by local authorities and the Local Community Development Committees.
Announcing the allocation, Minister for Rural Affairs Heather Humphreys said community centres "are more important than ever in light of Covid-19".
