Over €40 million euro has been allocated for local and regional roads in the Shannonside region.
Just over nine million euro has been announced €9,083,161 in funding for local and regional roads in Co Longford.
It includes a €370,000 allocation for specific improvement works, involving €300,000 for improvement works on the Main St in Ballymahon.
Roscommon council is getting just over €19 million for roads in that county.
It includes €300,000 for the R446 which will invole overlay work and demarcation of the hard shoulders with signs, road markings and relfectice knockdown bollards.
Leitrim council is getting €12.5 million including €300,000 for works at Hartley Bridge and €100,000 for the R280 Lennox bridge replacement.
