Just over seven thousand euro has been raised for North West Hospice because of efforts by the staff at IT Sligo, who climbed Mount Everest from their homes.
The team at the college collectively climbed three thousand five hundred flights of stairs, which is the equivalent of climbing the world's highest mountain.
The group began the challenge on Friday morning and finished it by 7pm that evening.
Participant Glenda Conway said they were thrilled to see people in the community joining in, and says charities need all the help they can get during the Covid-19 lockdown.
