East Galway crash victim 'changed four lives' by becoming organ donor, funeral hears

A 22-year-old east Galway crash victim changed four lives by becoming an organ donor before he died, according to his family.

Simon Quinn's funeral Mass took place in St Bernard's Church in Abbeyknockmoy this afternoon.

He died in hospital last Sunday after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Dunmore two days earlier.

Gerard and Deirdre spoke on behalf of his family today at the funeral, with Gerard revealing how Simon became an organ donor.

Deirdre spoke about the joy, laughter and love he brought to his family.
