Efforts are underway to get plans for a long-awaited primary care centre in west Roscommon back on track. It follows news that the facility in Ballaghaderreen has suffered a major set back this week after the developer pulled out. The project was expected to include a GP suite, a dispensing pharmacy, and other medical services. The news was confirmed after Cllr Sean Moylan sought an update on the project at a recent Regional Health Forum.
The HSE say a lease agreement was signed with the developer but he failed to submit documentation on time. It has since been revealed that the developer is no longer in a position to progress with the project. Roscommon councillor Sean Moylan says he hopes a new developer can be found as quickly as possible:
