A local Councillor has criticised Eir's response in reconnecting a customers phone line service.
Longford Councillor Paraic Brady spoke about a case where a woman in her 80s was left without a phone service for several days.
In a statement issued to Shannonside FM, Eir say that they have since resolved the issue and apologised to the customer for the delay in reconnecting service.
Eir also confirmed that they are currently conducting a thorough review of this case to understand the delays and how they can improve.
