Eircom Limited are appealing the refusal of two communications masts by Roscommon County Planners.
The company lodged two planning applications last year for the telecommunications infrastructure, one for a 21 metre mast at Cloonfad and the other, a 20 metre structure in Ballyfarnon.
Roscommon County Council refused both applications earlier this year over concerns the development would impact the visual amenity of the areas.
Both plans were subject of several submissions from members of the public over issues such as concerns that co-location on existing masts had not been adequately explored.
The applications were refused in April, with Eircom Ltd now challenging both decisions to the higher planning authority.
An Bord Pleanála will decide on the appeals in August.
