Planning permission has been granted for a major expansion of a north Roscommon GAA club.
Elphin GAA applied to Roscommon County Council in May for a number of developments on its current site.
Included in the application is the demolition of an existing toilet block and the construction of a new two storey extension to the current changing rooms.
Also included is the construction of a new 24.5 by 50 metre all-weather training pitch, a sensory garden, community garden, 2 new dug-outs, and a new tiered stand to replace the current sloped standing area.
The extension of the current community walkway with low level lighting and re-surfacing of the internal gravel access road was also applied for.
Roscommon County Planners approved the application subject to 10 conditions.
