Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital under pressure today

The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is extremely busy today with close to 50 people waiting on a bed. Across the region, 56 people are waiting for admission at local hospitals in the Shannonside Region. 20 people are on trolleys while a further 27 are waiting elsewhere in wards in Sligo this morning,

That's followed by six patients in Mullingar Regional Hospital and three waiting in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. University Hospital Limerick is once again the worst affected facility in the country today, with 107 people waiting on a bed.
