The senior engineer in charge of the Mullingar to Longford N4 upgrade has said there won't be any extension of the public consultation period for the project.
Responding to calls from local politicians who want an extension to allow more people study the various route options and make their submissions, Anne Marie Corroon says they've already given two extra weeks to allow for Covid restrictions.
The engineer has also revealed that over six-times the number of people have already engaged with this public consultation as opposed to three more traditional events held over ten years ago for broadly the same project:
