Eleven enterprise and community hubs across Roscommon and Leitrim have received funding to enhance their technology in a post Covid environment.

Eight centres in south Leitrim, including the Ballinamore Area Community Enterprise Units and the Ballinamore Enterprise Centre, the Food Hub and the Enterprise Centre in Drumshanbo, Mohill’s Enterprise Cetnre and the Hive in Carrick on Shannon will receive up to 34,000 euro funding under the Atlantic Economic Corridor programme.

In Roscommon, the Castlerea Enterprise Hub, St Aiden's Community Centre in Ballyforan and The Spoon factory in Boyle, are also beneficiaries.

The investment has been made by the Department of Rural and Community Development as part of the Atlantic Economic Corridor Enterprise Hub Network project, which is administered by the Western Development Commission.

Aine Carr, is the Atlantic Economic Corridor officer for Co. Leitrim, she explains what the funding will be used for.
