The Entertainments Manager at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon says she hopes they may be allowed have crowds of up to 200 attending events in the hotel later this summer.
The Landmark is one of a number of venues around the country that have been successful in applying for funds to help host live music and entertainment again, with up to €126,000 allocated for them to draw down.
The Live Performance Support Scheme provides funding for the hotels and promoters to pay artists to perform because the numbers allowed to attend would not pay for the events to be hosted as normal.
Fiona Loftus Shannon from the Landmark says they're delighted to have secured the funding and are busy planning again right now.
She says she hopes they may be allowed have up to 200 at the events when they begin towards the end of next month.
