A Roscommon councillor has called on the ESB to take action following persistent power outages in the Rooskey area. Almost 80 premises were left without power last weekend due to the most recent fault following Storm Kathleen.
Cllr Tom Crosby says it's the ninth such outage in recent months, caused by fallen forestry in the area. He claims the ESB are aware of the problem but are providing a 'fire fighting' service with each outage.
