The ESB says it hopes to have power restored to all homes and businesses across the Shannonside region tonight. Over 700,000 customers were without power over 2 weeks ago in the immediate aftermath of Storm Éowyn.
However, some people in Leitrim and Roscommon have now gone 19 days without power since the destructive storm hit. Siobhan Wynne from ESB Networks says work is continuing today to ensure all power is restored by this evening:
