A Roscommon-Galway TD is calling for people without power to be compensated by the ESB.
Over 6,000 homes, farms and businesses in the Shannonside region remain without electricity - nearly two weeks after Storm Eowyn.
It includes 3,000 in Roscommon, 2,750 in Leitrim and 750 in Longford.
Speaking in the Dáil this afternoon, local Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane says those without power should get money from the ESB.
Enterprise Minister and Longford-Westmeath TD, Peter Burke, says the storm has caused serious problems for businesses.
