Euro candidate calls for radical change to immigration policy

A local EU elections candidate believes that current Government policy on immigration needs to change. James Reynolds is the leader of the National Party and is standing in the Midlands-Northwest constituency.

The North Longford native says that Ireland is refusing to exercise its right to opt out of the EU migration pact. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, the National Party leader believes that a policy of rapid deportation is needed to stop the asylum system being taken advantage of.
