Local MEP say the European Parliament has been rocked, after one of its members was charged with corruption and money laundering.
Greek representative Eva Kiely, along with four others, were arrested last week after 600 thousand euro in cash was found in suitcases in a Brussel's hotel.
MEPs will vote in Strasbourg later on whether to strip Ms Kaili of her title as vice president of the parliament.
Midlands/North-West MEP Maria Walsh says the parliament is reeling from the scandal.
''Very shocked that any MEP would be involved in such a ball of conspiracy and and such allegations showing such truth. It certainly has shook what we do here and our grouping.''
