The Oireachtas Committee for Assisted Dying has heard warnings of a 'slippery slope' if the issue is legislated for.
The Committee has been hearing from expert witnesses on the ethics of legislating for assisted dying.
It was claimed that a 'slippery slope' was 'inevitable' if assisted dying was legalised.

However, Dr. Annie McKeown O'Donovan from the University of Limerick believes this is not the case.
