A large amount of forestry has been destroyed in a large fire near Ballaghaderreen - and homes have narrowly avoided damage.
It broke out on Saturday afternoon in Carrentemple, Co Sligo.
It quickly spread to an area of 2km or 3km, including Derrinabrook and Cloontia, near the Roscommon border.
Four units of the fire services attended - Charlestown, Boyle, Ballaghaderreen and Tubercurry - and a helicopter and Coillte staff.
The forest fire spread through a number of forestry plantations.
It also went close to homes, but the extensive effort by emergency services narrowly prevented property damage.
The fire was eventually brought under control late on Saturday night.
