The family of a Leitrim man killed in suspicious circumstances has written to the Garda Commissioner to seek an urgent meeting. The letter was sent yesterday by solicitor Frank Buttimer, who represents the Farrell family. 87-year-old Liam Farrell died outside his Rooskey home in January 2020, and his family believes he was violently attacked.
Commissioner Drew Harris last month ordered a review of the Garda investigation into his death - and agreed to meet the Farrells. Liam's son, Peter, says he expects the meeting to happen shortly, on foot of Buttimer's letter:
