Farmers across the Shannonside region are being urged to undergo training before operating quads.
New regulations which came into force on the 20th of November have outlined that operators of quads or all-terrain vehicles must hold a license. Ireland was the first country in the European Union to propose this law, with quad-related injuries making up a quarter of all farm accidents in the country. Noel Quinn runs the HynesQuinn Driving School in Longford which has just been approved to issue licenses for quads.
