A government TD says he's confident a new national school building will be fast-tracked in Carrick-on-Shannon once a site has been identified.
Scoil Mhuire will reopen on Monday week for the new school year with 498 students - almost double the amount from 10 years ago.
The school is spread over two campuses, and some classes are held in prefabs and subdivided rooms.
