Frank Feighan (Fine Gael) has topped the poll in Sligo-Leitirm, but failed to make the quota.
Feighan topped the poll with 8,980 votes followed by Martin Kenny (Sinn Fein) with 7,764. Independent Ireland’s Michael Clarke received 5,979 votes.
Fianna Fail’s Eamon Scanlon received 5,913 for fourth place with Sinn Fein’s Chris MacManus polling 5,173. The returning officer adjourned the count after one count took place without anyone making the quota.
Whereas, the vote resumes on Sunday morning with the exclusion of Diarmuid MacConville (Ind), Caroline Corcoran (ind. Ireland) and Molly Candon (PAW).
