The Fianna Fail party expects to have any issue around the re-admittance of Marc MacSharry to the parliamentary party resolved in the coming weeks.
Last night's meeting of the party heard that the Taoiseach denied there was any agenda behind the delay to readmitting the Sligo-Leitrim TD to the party.
The former senator resigned from the parliamentary party last year and was heavily critical of the leader of Micheal Martin.
It was expected that Sligo native would have bene are re-admitted earlier this month after a proposal from Offaly TD Barry Cowen at a previous meeting of the parliamentary party.
However, it subsequently emerged that an internal party complaint was made about Deputy McSharry and messages in a Whatsapp group.
It's understood both the Chief whip and The Taoiseach committed to having the issues resolved before the next party meeting in November.
