Micheál Martin visited Roscommon town yesterday evening as the General Election campaign enters its final week.

The Fianna Fáil leader has refused to commit to opening new Garda Stations in Co. Roscommon. Micheál Martin visited Roscommon town yesterday evening as the General Election campaign enters its final week. There are concerns about crime levels in the county recently, leading to public rallies in Ballaghaderreen and Castlerea.

On a visit to the county last week, the Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald said her party would open new Garda stations in Co. Roscommon if elected to government. Although he refused to commit to opening new Garda Stations, Micheál Martin said they will look at all options:
