Final preparations are being made for the safe return of students to special schools across the Shannonside Northern Sound region tomorrow.
Following intense discussions with unions and the Department of Education, extra regulations and risk assessments have been put in place to minimise the spread of Covid 19 for staff and students.
Students will return on reduced days with remote learning continuing for those not attending in person.
Geraldine Connolly, Principal of St Michael’s Special School in Castlerea in Roscommon says every small detail has been worked out and students and staff are looking forward to seeing each other again.
