Today is the final day for people to make submissions on the preliminary routes identified for the N4-Carrick-Dromod road project.
It's expected that over 1,000 submissions will have been made by the public by close of business this evening after groups in Attirory and Cortober this week already lodged over 800 documents with the Council in relation to the project.
Leitrim County Council has previously stated that it will try to minimise the disruption and impact of the proposed by-pass and especially where routes cross people's homes.
Dozens of people signed a petition last night that will be submitted in conjunction with a 29-page document in opposition to the dark green and purple routes.
Keenaghan resident Charles Gibbons explains what their submission contains.
