A local government MEP says there is no appetite in the party for an early General Election. Fine Gael MEP Maria Walsh believes the leadership change in her party does not mean an election is needed. Simon Harris is due to take the reins from Leo Varadkar next week after the Dáil's Easter break, with the Fine Gael leadership confirmed last week.
