Fine Gael representatives serving the Shannonside region donated over €7,000 to the political party last year. Figures released today from the Standards in Public Office show that four of our local politicians from the party declared the donations in 2022. MEP Maria Walsh was the biggest donator among her party colleagues, shelling out €2,219 to Fine Gael last year.
That's followed by Minister of State and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke who gave the party €1,707. Fellow TD in Sligo Leitrim and MEP Colm Markey each donated around €1,647 to Fine Gael in the same period.
